Grill’d Local Matters supporting The Common Good

For the month of February 2023 The Common Good is hoping all burger lovers will succumb to their burger cravings at Grill’d Burpengary.

Why? Well, if you head into this store in the Moreton Bay Region between now and February 28 you can satisfy your burger cravings AND support The Common Good at the same time.

There are three charity jars each month at the store as part of the Local Matters initiative, and this month we are lucky to have one of them.

How does Local Matters Work?

The Local Matters initiative was devised so that Grill’d could give back to the local community.

The concept is simple. When you order a burger, you will receive one token to vote with.

You can then place your vote for the charity or cause of your choice by putting the token inside the corresponding jar.

At the end of the month, the jar or cause with the most tokens will receive $300. The other two will receive $100 each.

Last October, we were so grateful to have a charity jar in the Grill’d Westfield Chermside store. While we didn’t receive the most tokens of the month, we were appreciative of the support from the Grill’d team and the local community.

Why Support The Common Good?

If you are a Burpengary local, you may have dined at this Grill’d store in the past and you or someone you love may have been cared for by the medical professionals at The Prince Charles Hospital or Caboolture Hospital.

For those who haven’t needed care at one of these hospitals yet, you may in the future.

The Prince Charles Hospital Foundation started supporting medical research in 1986. Nowadays, The Common Good – an initiative of The Prince Charles Hospital Foundation – continues to support medical research which results in real and lifechanging breakthroughs in the areas of heart disease, lung disease, dementia, and mental health.

We also back hospital innovation projects at both The Prince Charles Hospital and Caboolture Hospital which aim to improve patient care, comfort, and recovery.
